‘Shaped by the Wind’
‘Shaped by the Wind’ is a
vibrant example of Scottish Springtime colour applied to a typical
unprotected coastal hedgerow. The artist is only too aware of the savage
hedgerow and boundary clearing affecting the natural habitat throughout
The Cowal Peninsula and in this picture has captured the compromise
reached between plants and unrelenting wind. The view ,looking east on
the Toward Lighthouse road, was painted in 2007 and captures the long
established rookery in the middle distance. |
